Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a tiny, little town that is a bit sleepy. The West Island, to those who have never heard of it, is a large area that extends from Lachine all the way west. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is often known as the place where she was born. It is true that she resided there for a very short period of time. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa, Ontario. She wanted to become a professional dancer, but because of a huge expansion, she surpassed all of her dancing partners. The Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. When I surpassed my male counterpart then I slowed down. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In Brugel's case it was because of the advice from her drama teacher in high school who pushed her in the direction she needed. Through the years since Brugel has been offered roles in over 60 shows on the big and small screens drawing the most media attention after she was offered the part in the role of Rita in the award-winning show The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the sole Canadian on the Season 1 actors of the series and seen only occasionally, was the only Canadian.
